Here is the big news I was talking of earlier:
We have a new studio! And it’s huge! Last night was day 1 of working on it. Amanda and I spackled the walls over the joints while Tim sanded down the pillars. Emily and Cassidy started scraping off the lead paint from the wall where the windows were, and Boris (the bulldog) kept us company.
The new studio is located in a warehouse on Allegheny and Amber streets. We’re spending the next few weeks to work on the space before we officially move in, and I am super excited to have the most space ever to photograph in!
Here are a few shots we took collectively last night:

Thanks to everyone who came out for our open studio party! It was awesome! We set up the “photobooth” again, but this time me and Emily had made props on sticks for everyone. We’re really happy with the results, but next time, we’ll have to go bigger and better!
At least once a month, I receive an e-mail from someone asking advice on photography techniques. I love helping people out, and try my best to demonstrate techniques over e-mail, but I realize that alot of learning comes from hands-on instruction. I learned everything I know by watching other photographers, so I decided to offer my services to others who also would like to learn more about techniques in photography. I’m going to offer classes to anyone who wants to do what I do.
If you are highly interested in Photography and would like to learn more about shooting with your Digital or Film SLR camera, sign up for classes! Any level of experience is welcome.
Learn the basics of photography through the lens: exposure settings, composition.
Learn how to shoot with available light as well as in-studio lights.
Learn basic Photoshop editing of images; color and density correction.
Maybe even learn how to print digitally, if you’re up for it!
I have a BFA in Photography from Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. My studio is located in Northern Liberties. I am available to schedule lessons with you on a weekly basis depending on your availability.
Classes are $40 per 2 hour session. Or $20/hr if that better suits you.
